I’m terrible at introductions. But hi! Welcome! I’m glad you’re here with me. If you want to learn a bit more about me in general, you can read more here.

I love to experiment in the kitchen. Oftentimes, when I cook up dinner, my husband will ask where I got that idea, or for me to email him the recipe, but since I made it up, it’s not as easy as forwarding a single link. Or I don’t remember how much of which spice I put in the chili, or what ratio of vinegar to oil I did in the vinaigrette, so writing up the recipe becomes a bit more of a challenge. This means, of course, it’s harder to repeat the exact thing I did before. Well, I want to change that.

What I Hope to Accomplish

I want to be better at documenting my own recipes, so I’m making myself accountable to the Internet. I can’t just say “some of this” or “enough vinegar to give an acidic kick” in one of my recipes here – I want people to actually be able to make and enjoy my cooking. And, of course, it’ll be easier to share these links with my husband’s email repository.

I want to encourage people to check out their local farmers markets, support the farmers, and maybe discover something new that they wouldn’t find at the grocery store.

I’d also like to highlight food tourism, especially in the farm tourism or local cooking classes – not so much with restaurant reviews. I’m thinking things like tasting tours I’ve put together for myself and others, as well as what I plan to do with my own travels.

That being said…

Thanks for joining me on this journey!
